Book your Auto Rickshaw ride on an App

Uber, the company associated with a Taxi hailing, would now allow the people of Delhi to book an auto rickshaw through an App. Considering the capital city as the city to enable cash payments. This new service, named UberAuto, aims to achieve a better hold on to the Indian market by this American based company. The company would have to face off the Ola cabs who have already ventured into an Auto Rickshaw deal.

 

Autos are the most pervasive transport in almost all the cities and Indians have always been used to Auto rickshaws. According to Mr. Gagan Bhatia, GM Uber Delhi, its always better, safe and makes more sense for both the Auto driver and the commuter to book and connect through us. Initially, the commuters would pay in cash, the price of a particular ride would be fixed and at base with the Delhi State Authorities, Uber would not charge anything on top of it. Unlikely to the OLA that launched its Auto Rickshaw venture last year, charges Rs 10 as the convenience charges.

 

To start with the Uber would only function within Delhi, but also has plans in the kitty to expand to other cities like Mumbai and Bangalore.The company launched in 2013, in the Indian market and has already been funding USD 5.9 billion, coming up as one of the top start-ups across the globe.
