The bike maker has already showcased its products like the Renegade cruiser series and the X-Street range at the Indian Auto Expo 2014, with a focus to grab the Indian Audiences and their interest. The company would soon start the venture in Indian, partnering with an Indian manufacturer Lohia Motors.
As it has been confirmed by the UM motors, that their prime launch would be a 400cc cruiser Bike model, that would be equipped with ABS. The American Bike manufacturer has now imported two new models for the Indian roads, basically for research and development purposes and has plans to launch these machines in India in the near future. The models imported to the country are namely, Flash 125 scooter and the Nitrox 150 motorcycle.
The Flash 125 scooter is the best option for the Indian market, considering the high demands and competition at the level. The Flash 125 is a step up scooter that is powered from a 4-stroke 125 cc single cylinder air cooled motor which has a capacity of producing a max power of 8.84 BHP at 7000 RPM and a peak force of 9 Nm at 6000 RPM. The dynamo is teamed to a 4 speed transmission gearbox. The scooter rolls out on 17 inch alloy wheels embedded with anti-flat tyres and is equipped with a superb front disc and rear drum braking system.
UM Nitrox 150 motorcycle being the second model, the brand intends to roll out. This bike gets equipped with single cylinder 149.4 cc air cooled engine that can pull out a max power of 8.5 BHP at 8000 RPM and a peak force of 10 Nm. The engine is paired with a 5 speed transmission gearbox. This commuter motorcycle comes with a conventional body type and sports an all-black engine that looks quite snazzy indeed. The Flash 125 is expected to be estimated between INR 40,000- 50,000. The Nitrox 150 is expected to cost around INR 50,000- 60,000. Both models are expected to launch in India in 2016.
