Indian is one of the oldest US motorcycle brand, which will directly compete with the other brands like Harley Davidson and British superbike brand Triumph which is recently launched. On the occasion Company’s Managing Director Pankaj Dubey said.”This launch holds a great importance for us. For Indian motorcycle freaks Polaris India has ended the long wait with this launch,"
Polaris India has launched its three models of chief range - Classic, Vintage and Chieftain, will be priced at Rs 26.5 lakh, 29.5 lakh and Rs 33 lakh (all ex-showroom Delhi). Dubey speaks on the sales target,” In 2012-2013 the market size for the superbikes over 1600 cc in the country reported at 200 units, it is expected that market would be grow up by 40-50 per cent. Booking is now open from today for all three bikes and will start delivering from March. Dubey added” We are coming up with our first dealership in Delhi, we have planned also to open one more showroom in Bangalore after sometime.” The three bikes would be importing into India from its single manufacturing unit in US and it will be importing as completely built units (CBUs).
“These bikes would come as CBUs Currently, company has no plans in line to assemble them here”. Dubey said, he added company is continuously moving step forward to take first position for the Indian motorcycle brand among all superbikes available across the country.
It is equipped with the powerful 1,811 cc engine, three bikes under chief range gets the luxury features like ABS, cruise control, keyless ignition and aluminium frame. In November Company entered with 10 models in Indian market and these are priced between Rs 5.7 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
