Fiat Showcased Avventura SUV at Auto Expo 2014

Fiat is coming up with its new SUV, Avventura, will be launch by later this year. it can compete directly against the likes of the Ford EcoSport and the Renault Duster. Its expected price range would be between Rs 7 lakh- Rs 8 lakh.

Fiat is in planning to create new benchmarks with its all new SUV Avventura, it a season of compact SUVs and fiat is all set to win the race in SUVs segment. Fiat has more than 100 independent dealership in India and planning to expand its dealerships to 150 by the end of this year.

Avventura will be powered by the 1,300cc diesel engine and 1,400cc petrol engine,it is based on the same platform designed for the existing Punto and Linea, The new vehicle gets a ground clearance of about 200 mm.

He added "Avventura is an offering designed around   young and aspiring Indians. The research work has been carried out by our technical centre in India with support from headquarters in Italy," The Company has about 1,000 engineers at its Chennai technical centre.

Fiat India will initially serve as the sole manufacturing base for the SUV which will be gradually marketed in right-hand drive markets like South Africa and in India's neighbourhood. "While there is time before we get a 4X4 version on the vehicle, we will offer variants with safety features like ABS and air bags," he said.

Basavanhalli reveals over new launches that Fiat will sell the Abarth range of high-performance cars and get in the new-generation models of the Linea sedan and Punto compact.
