DC to reveal convertible SUV and a small car at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo
DC Design will Exhibit its two new car range at the Delhi?s Auto Expo 2014. First would be the convertible SUV and the another one is a small car, which is smaller than the world?s cheapest car Nano.
DC Design will Exhibit its two new car range at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014. First would be the convertible SUV and the another one is a small car, which is smaller than the world’s cheapest car Nano.
These cars segment will be built for niche market; it is a segment for which Indian car makers are still waiting to explore. It is expected that SUV would be based on Tornado car concept which was launched last year. Smaller car length would be around 7 feet and it will come with the seating capacity of two persons. These cars will carry price range of Rs18-40 lakh.
Along with this DC has planned to set up its new plant in Sanand Gujarat with the investment of Rs. 60 crore to produce its own car range. They have their existing plant in Talegaon near Pune, which has the capacity to produce 1,000 cars per month. The production of these two cars will start after couple of years. Their first priority is to bring out the AVANTI Sports car which was exhibited in the last Auto Expo 2012.and this first 25 bookings of Avanti would be delivered to customers by February 2014. Company plant in Talegaon will start production of 100 cars per month from June 2014.
Initially Avanti the First Indian Supercar which is mated with 2 litre Ford Eco boost engine will carry price tag of Rs 25 lakhs as promised but after first batch delivery there would be hike in price by Rs 5 lakh.
