Dacia, the subsidiary of Renault has unveiled its Lodgy MPV and Duster facelift at the Geneva Motor show 2014. It might be launch in India by the next year. In India, Lodgy will be manufactured in the Renault Nissan alliance facility in Chennai.
The Lodgy is based on Logan’s platform, lodgy gets almost similar interior profile of Duster such as door trims, steering wheel, handles etc. It measures 4,498 mm in length, which makes it longer than the upcoming Honda Mobilio, whereas it’s still much shorter than the Innova.
It comes up with the both petrol and diesel guise. The petrol version gets the 1.2-liter turbocharged TCe engine (turbocharged engine) develops 115 hp and a 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated engine churns out a modest 85Hp. The diesel version will be powered by .5-liter four-cylinder K9K motor powers the Duster also. Like in the Duster, this engine is offered with two power states one is 90 hp and 110 hp in the Lodgy.
The Lodgy does not get the stylish looks as much as its competitor gets such as Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy. We anticipate an aggressive pricing to make up for these shortcomings in an MPV which is otherwise spacious and comfortable.
