Upcoming BMW i8 to be showcased at 65th Frankfurt Motor Show

Plug-in-hybrid vehicle from BMW will be showcased at Frankfurt Motor Show.

BMW announces to unveil their production version of i8 in the IAA Frankfurt motor show starting from 10th September. The long wait for BMW i8 is going to be over. In series of showcasing, BMW will showcase their newly unveiled all electric BMW i3, the 2014 X5 SAV, the 4-Series Coupe and Concept Active Tourer Outdoor.

Impressive performance and best fuel economy makes BMW i8 best-in-class of hybrid sports car category. Though the specifications are not revealed but it is expected to come with a 3-cylinder turbocharged engine fuelled with petrol and an electric motor that propels out max power of 173PS with a peak torque of 250Nm. BMW i8 sprints out from zero to century in less than five seconds.

Fuel economy of 33.3kmpl is provided by the vehicle and can travel up to 35km on its electricity supply only.
