Doctor said it was too early to say that what is the extent of his brain injuries, Schumacher’s wife, Corinna, and his teenage son and daughter, were with him all the time at his bedside.
“Jean-Francois Payen, an anesthesiologist who is leading Schumacher's medical team at the Grenoble University Hospital Center, said at a news conference. We can’t really say what would happen next, when Schumacher came in he had injury in his brain which has given lot much harm to his brain. His situation is very critical and he is continuously fighting for his life.
He said we are continuously working hour by hour to make improvements in his health, but it is really not possible to say anything about to give a prognosis. To relieve the pressure from his brain we need to operate him urgently.
As a driver, Schumacher holds many of Formula One's driver records, including most championships, race victories, fastest laps, pole positions.
In 2002 he was the only driver who creates the history in Formula One to finish in the top three in each race of a season and then also broke the most consecutive podium finishes records.
