Volvo India to launch refreshed 2014 S80 on March 19
The S80 will compete directly against the likes of Mercedes E Class, BMW 5 Series, Jaguar XF and Audi A6. In India Volvo has not its manufacturing facility yet so all the Volvo products in India are imported into the country via the Completely Built up unit(CBU) route.
Volvo India is all set to unveil the facelift version of 2014 Volvo S80 in New Delhi on 19 March 2014. It was last showcased at the Geneva Motor Show last year along with the refreshed version of XC60 and S60.
The refreshed S80 comes up with the changes to the front end of the luxury sedan. Now the grill becomes smaller and looks similar as the other Volvo models like S60. Wheras the headlights are equipped with the LED daytime running lights. The side profile remains unchanged while the rear bumper gets a little modification.

The S80 will be powered by the two engine options in India. The base model will comes up with the 2.0-liter inline five-cylinder diesel engine developing 163 hp at 3,500 rpm and 400 Nm of torque. while the top-end model will be equipped with the 2.4-liter inline five-cylinder churns out the same 400Nm of torque as the lower displacement engine, but a higher 215 hp@4,000 rpm.
