Toyota reveals hybrid race car
Toyota has introduced its new Ts040 Hybrid sports car which was earlier showcased at the Paul Ricard Circuit in France. Now TS040 is ready to bang into the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship.

The revised design equipped with the hybrid all-wheel drive system that is rated at 513hp,and gets the 3.7 liter V8 petrol engine that develop the peak power up to 986 ponies. The V8 engine has been built at the Higasfuji Technical Centre, where Toyota also develops its next generation road car technology. The revised WEC technical regulations have been pursued in development of the new power train.it puts emphasis on the fuel economy.
This time teams are expected to use 25% less fuel than in 2013, with saving bring off through changes made to powertrains, aerodynamics & driving style. Engineers have been guided to give more design flexibility in other areas, in order to enable Toyota to bring a significant growth in hybrid power with motors on both the front and rear axles.
Toyota racing will comes up with two new cars to this race and the drivers include Stephane Sarrazin, Alex Wurz and Kazuki Nakajima sharing car No. 7 and Sebastien Buemi, Nicolas Lapierre and Anthony Davidson coming with car No. 8.
