Brands like Toyota and Nissan also managed to do an average business. Unfortunately, brands like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ford, General Motors and Renault have been low. However backing up on the bold sales done by the major brand, the industry managed to hike its sales up to 5 percent high this year.
Even after the sales going high at the closing of the last fiscal, the month of March however has not been up to the mark in terms of moderate sales with the sale kings Maruti and Hyundai posing average sales. Managed to market 1,03,719 units in March, 2015 compared to 1,02,269 in the corresponding month last year, Maruti Suzuki India could somehow reach just 1.4 per cent growth. Hyundai disposed 39,525 units in the last month of the year, up by 12.9 per cent. Honda Cars India, although, continued to do fare well in the last month also, declaring a hike of 23 per cent. In fact, the Japanese carmaker declared its highest ever monthly domestic sales of 22,696 units.
