Terra Motors, To set up factory in Haryana for e-rickshaw manufacturing

The factory will start with pulling out e-rickshaws for the country, termed as R6. The Terra R6 would have a range to do 100 kms on one full charge. The product is expected to be priced at INR 1 lakh, as reported by the Economics Times, it has been told to them by the Chief Executive Toru Tokushige that the brand has priced the R6 in terms to the market.
Although the R6 has been revealed in December last year, would get its power by the 48V 100Ah battery that would work till 100 kms. The e-rickshaw would be able to bear a capacity of up to 7 passengers with 70 kg of weight each. Scaling the product, the R6 measures 2,950mm lengthwise, 1,090 mm width, and 1,800mm height. The battery charges up to 80 percent in a quick 20-30 minutes flat. The top speed on the vehicle is of 30km/h, and a charge time of 7 hours. The e-rickshaw also sports a few more other features like the 3.2 m radius and the rain covers for the protection of the passengers.
The brand has already acquired the certification from the ARAI, and the R6 is all set for the Indian roads. The brand has employed 15 people in the operation in India, although the plan is to increase the number of people to up to 35 within 1 year.
