Renault has already started in the testing on its new machine, the entry level, small car, the XBA. It has been reported that car would be called Kayou in Europe. The testing product looks identical to the ones captured in India as well, the place, where the product is supposed to have a world premiere on the 20th May 2015.

The brand has already reported that this new car would be a global product indeed. Early media has reported that the car would be selling in Europe carrying a name “Kayou” with a price tag of 5000 Euros that is about Rs. 3.61 lakhs. The production for the European market might be done at their unit at Morocco. For the market in India, the brand has given confirmation that the product would be a Rs.4 lakh price range segment.
Other details still are quite concealed at this point as well. The car is expected to gets its core strength from a 0.8 liter three cylinder petrol unit paired to a 5-speed manual and automated manual gear box. Speaking about the ground work, the Kayou would be Renault-Nissan’s customized CMF-A platform, a construction that would also base Datsun’s entry-level small car for India codenamed ‘I2′. Renault have made a NO for any of the diesel versions as of now. One on the road, the car would face off the market with the currently running segments like Eon by Hyundai, Datsun Redi-Go, and Tata Nano versions. Expected to be out and about by the 20th of May 2015.
