Over 1 lakh Maruti Suzuki cars sold
The new Maruti Celerio is reported to increase the market share for the company by 10 percent.The car was launched to the domestic market in the month of February during the previous year 2014 at the Auto Expo and presently the sales have overlapped the 100,000 mark.The Maruti Celerio is attributed as being the primary passenger vehicle to originate with an automated manual transmission (AMT).

Launched initially on the LXi and VXi models, a ZXi trim along with the AMT was presented earlier this year in the month of May.
The Maruti Celerio also presented Suzuki’s primary self-developed diesel motor, an 800 cc twin-cylinder unit giving it an industry-leading competence of 27.62 km/l. The hatchback can now be acquired in petrol, diesel and CNG powertrains along with manual and AMT (only on petrol) gearing systems.In accordance to Mr. RS Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited have raised to shoot up to 71 percent, ever since it has been launched.
The Maruti Celerio swapped the A-Star in the Indian market, and the Suzuki Alto in markets overseas. Though the earlier generation Suzuki Alto (A-Star) for Europe was shipped from India, the Celerio for Europe is traded from Suzuki’s Thai developing unit.The Maruti Celerio is estimated around INR 3.9-5 lakhs for the petrol version and around INR 4.65-5.71 lakhs for the diesel models, prices being the ex-Showroom rates in the capital.Indeed, there has been much hype created for this firs of its kind car in the market, being a small car fully equipped with he much needed and anticipated features along with the trust value of Maruti, making it an indeed great power combination, enabling it to secure a niche in the market for sure.
