This time it’s BMW in news, because of their new introduction, being the first car manufacturer to present the “ENLIGHTEN APP” that enables connected traffic signals. As per the brand this app would help and support drivers while displaying the present status of the traffic light that would be ahead in the way of the car in real time.
It would also present the countdown of the signal transformation and this would help the drivers apply brake or in a few scenarios get ready to drive back again. The Enlighten app also has the facility of offering audio signals that inform the driver for any of the imminent change in the position of a signal they are forthcoming, or while a light goes green. It would also maintain a check of the car's indicator at turns, thus permitting just the applicable light signal to be exhibited. At the moment, the app is out on an iOS device only and would work in cities that comprise of a network carrying 'smart' traffic signals but gradually this system would expand in the rest of the countries as well.
