As per the reports, car exports over to Mexico would upsurge by more than 50% to 1.32 lakh units in the forthcoming 2015-16, as equated to the previous year carrying just 82,000 units. According to Economic Times report, VW would perhaps export another 55,000 cars to Mexico from India and General Motors would send above 45,000 cars of their extremely positive small car: Beat that is traded as Spark in the market of Mexico. Ford's Figo, Figo Aspire, Maruti Suzuki's Ciaz, Hyundai's i10 Grand and Xcent, are the rest of the few names to be shipped over to Mexico.
A representative from the brand VW reported that Mexico is the most imperative and a major export market for them. In the year 2014, VW managed to send across nearly 55,000 cars to Mexico. In 2015, they assume to ship somewhat a bigger number to the prospective country.
The price benefit in Mexico is nearly 20%-30% basically for the freight cost and an import duty of 20%, VW India, General Motors India and other Indian auto companies are transporting huge numbers of their products over to Mexico from India.
Gaurav Vangaal, is a senior analyst, forecasting, at IHS Automotive, described that the prosperous demand in Mexico is a blessing for the auto makers in our country, as they are equipped with a place in order to use up their produced units when the market here is sluggish.
Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP for sales and marketing at Hyundai Motor India, publicized that his company also plans to enhance its exports to Mexico by 37% in the year 2015 and trade more than 12,500 cars.
Cars such as Nissan Sunny, Volkswagen Vento, Ford Fiesta and other mid-size sedans sum up a 10% of the market with nearly 1.2 lakh units.
