Mercedes India to launch GL63 AMG on April 15

Mercedes the German luxury car maker is all set to unveil its GL63 AMG SUV in India on 15 April 2014. Price information has not yet revealed but it is anticipated that it would cross the price bracket of Rs 1 crore.

The Gl63 AMG will be powered by the high performance 5.5litre, bi-turbo V8 engine which churns out 565PS and peak torque of 760Nm. The engine mated with the 7 speed transmission. It reaches to the 100kmph in just 4.9 seconds. The power transmits to all the four wheels via Mercedes 4 Matic drive system.

The SUV will be enabled with the luxurious interiors and the theme which fascinate the passengers once entered into the car, SUV gets the 3 spoke steering wheel and sporty seats as well and equipped with the features such as Sirius satellite radio, tri-zone automatic climate control and a navigation system, panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon audio system and others.

In India, GL63 would not get the competition from the Q7 and the X5. But we have to compare it to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and the 2014 Range Rover Sport 5.0-liter V8 petrol version.
