Maruti recalls 1492 vehicles of Ertiga, Swift, Dzire and A-star models
Maruti Suzuki India has announced to recall 1492 units of Ertiga, Swift, Dzire and the A-Star hatchback models, which manufactured date from 19th October to 26th October. The company has found the steering column defective to the concerned vehicles.

The company will replace the defective steering column free of cost in these vehicles. The new steering column has been despatched to dealer workshops and Maruti Suzuki dealer will contact to owners of all concerned vehicles.
CNBC-TV18 reported today, the recall do not affect any of the cars exported from India and it only applicable for these specific models sold in the domestic market.
The company said it will inspect the steering column for 1,492 vehicles —Swift: 592 units, Ertiga: 306 units, A-Star: 13 units and Dzire:581 units manufactured between October 19, 2013 and 26th October 2013.
