Maruti, Hyundai, Mahindra cut prices across all models

To provide the relief to customers from high car prices Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai,Mahindra & Mahindra has cut prices across all its models after the relaxation in excise duty.

It is reported Maruti's Alto 800's prices have been reduced by 3.4-3.5 per cent, Dzire's prices have been reduced by 3.4-3.5 per cent. Recently launched Celerio prices have been down by 3.5-3-6 per cent.

Maruti Suzuki has reduced prices between Rs. 8,502 and Rs.30, 984 across all models, while Hyundai brought down prices between Rs Rs.10, 000 to Rs. 1, 35, 300 among all segments.

Maruti Suzuki said in a statement that the entire benefit of the excise duty cut is being passed on to customers for the full range of models. Mahindra has cut prices across all its models range between Rs 13,000 to Rs 49,000 and Mahindra’s SUV Rexton will get much cheaper by Rs.92, 000.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) also reduces prices for all models, from Eon to Santa Fe. Hyundai Motor India Ltd Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Rakesh Srivastava said, "The reduction in excise duty would substantially reduce the prices, making cars more affordable,"
