But the problem is that not many options are readily marketed out here in India. However, now being in trend, many car makers are venturing into this automatic league seeking profit due to its need and demand. But the problem is the less options available, that are either too costly or a very few automatic options in the small car segment.

A blessing in disguise is the Maruti Suzuki’s Celerio, with an AMT, however it’s not completely an automatic, but incorporates some benefits of an Automatic version, like there is no clutch and it also offers a good fuel economy likely to the manual variant. Automatic versions like the AMT, helps in reduction of strain and burden, of driving in the heavy loaded traffic situations in India. The only problem is the common Indian man, may not be able to afford the automatic version for their rides as the cost part increases by 20-35 percent, and they also exhaust more fuel.

However according to the demand, it has been predicted by experts that the AMT version at least would reach and expand up to 5 lakh by 2020. AMT can be applauded for the indicating change, as it is indeed cheaper, and puts just about 5-10 percent to the price and consumes lesser fuel than most other manual variants. Well, let’s wait and watch, as more and more car makers would be engaged into this trending technology, manual cars might become a thing of the past.
