Hyundai Mingtu Sub-Sonata Sedan Leaked Ahead of Shanghai Motor Show
Leaked shots of Hyundai Mingtu sub-sonata flash across internet screens.
The size of Chinese market is so vast that even a mini segment can give an auto manufacturer opportunity to produce volumes of products. And Honda and Hyundai are among those brands that understood this fact pretty earlier and well. The new Concept C that will be introduced from Honda will be acquiring its place between Accord and Civic while the new car from Hyundai will act intermediate between Sonata and Elantra.
Our friends at Indianautoblog have recently flashed a spy picture of Hyundai car that is to be released in 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. A release is being expected of Hyundai Mingtu at Shanghai 2013 Auto Show. This sedan was previously named as Sonata Lite by press and media and the Chinese version of this has been named as Mingtu. Mingtu is the Chinese word for Sonata.
The sleek, smart, and catchy appearance of Sonata resembles pretty close to Mercedes CLA or it can be simply said that this is Hyundai’s version of Mercedes sedan. He front bumper and grille gives a close look of Sonata while the re-designed headlamps looks quite catchy. The updated roofline of the car also looks quite catchy.
In terms of power and performance, the sedan has been equipped with a 1.8 liter and 2.0 liter petrol power mills beneath the hood. These power mills mate with a six speed manual or an automatic transmission. The price range for this sedan has been decided as 140, 000 Yuan (roughly Rs.12.24 lakhs) to 180, 000 Yuans (roughly Rs.15.74 lakhs).
This car is all set to launch by the Korean car maker at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show that is due to start on 20th April, 2013.
