Ford Motors, India, un-concealed their new machine, Ford Figo Aspire today at a mall located in Gurgaon. This would be a pre-launch strategy, by the brand that would introduce the car, make it connect to the people and increase its awareness in order to generate curiosity and demands, in other metro cities as well, step by step.
Although the launch is around the mid of this year, with no dates out yet. The car was earlier showcased at the Sanand plant inaugural ceremony in the month of March this year. But the doors were locked, unlikely to tis introduction, wherein people have direct access and vision to the beauty inside the machine.
The car’s inshore details can be explained much in detail now, sporting a two-tone dashboard that is an inspiration by the Ford’s eco sport and Fiesta models. Featuring a SYNC multimedia adding starts to the inner panel. The detailing done at the steering, toggles, handles at the door, switches look all borrowed from the Eco Sport.
The model parked at the mall is a pre-production display model, being a top variant of the new car, a Titanium diesel version. It is armed with an automatic climate control system; however the basic models get a manual AC. Six airbags paired with 5 speed manual gear box. Ford has also rolled out a picture of a 6 speed power shift transmission, should only highlight the petrol version of the car. Beneath the hood, there lives a 1.5L TDCI diesel engine that is teamed up with a 5-speed manual gear box.
Ford would be venturing into the new 1.2L TI-VCT petrol dynamo on the Aspire, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The company would be floating out the other details like the prices, variants and more features, a little closer to the launch date. We expect the car, once on roads to give a tiff on the ongoing segments like, Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest. The car should be ranging anywhere between INR 5.5-7 lakhs, ex-showroom prices in the capital.
