BMW rolls out locally assembled 3 Series GT in India

BMW the luxury car maker has introduced its locally assembled BMW 3 Series Gran Tourismo manufactured at their plant in Mahindra World City in Singaperumal Koil,Chennai. It is priced at Rs 42.75 lakh(ex-showroom all India), Earlier,BMW 3 Series GT was showcased at the recently held Indian Auto Expo 2014,now it’s available for sale and deliveries have started.
The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, unites dynamic lines with the elegance of a coup in a fascinating way. This vehicle incorporates the unique harmony of form and space and creates completely autonomous aesthetics that are unlike any others. It gets the easy-going sportiness and stylish elegance. It measures 200mm more, making the wheelbase longer by 110mm.The height has been also increased comparatively to the 3 series sedan. The GT sports a large grill, frameless side windows, and rear spoiler which automatically deployed when car travels at 110kmph.
In India, the BMW 3 Series GT available only in a 320d variant. It is equipped with the 2.0 litre straight-six engine that develops maximum power of 184bhp and 380Nm of torque. The engine is mated with eight-speed automatic gearbox sourced from ZF which transmit power to the rear wheels.
BMW had revealed their plans for launching the car in India this year. For BMW fans and enthusiasts the 3 Series GT is available at all the dealerships across India.
