It has been quoted by Mr. R S Kalsi, Executive Director of Sales and marketing that is nearly very difficult to manufacture all the components, or set up merchants to make such parts within the country basically because of the economic rate. The manufacturers who are indulged in to making such components are quite established and confined with such high-end parts, and this is not feasible in India at present.
To quote on the Make In India movement, the company said that they believe in the campaign for a long time now, and have gradually set-up for most of the car components within the country and have introduced numerous technologies learnt from abroad.
Mr. Kalsi reported, Maruti to bear 11 models in its space along with 100 plus versions of them and they stand in the market sharing 45 percent that is in fact the highest number amidst the car manufacturers around. He also announced the plan to receive the most benefits within the third and the fourth quarter of this year, while the company would be out with more models for the Indian consumers.
