Tata Motors announced to launch two new variants – Kite 5 sub-compact sedan and Nexon compact SUV. Both models were previewed at the Delhi Auto Expo last year along with the recently launched Hexa. The new segments were speculated to be launched towards the end of this year. As per recent reports suggest that both the vehicles could be launch in March 2017.

2017 Tata Motors is aiming to price the sub-compact sedan aggressively, undercutting most of its rivals in the Indian market. Its entry-level model price could be as low as Rs 4.0 lakh, and the top model range might be cost around Rs 5.5 lakh.
New Tata Kite 5 Specifications
2017 Tata Kite 5 sedan will share about engine lineup with the Tiago hatchback. Its petrol version will be powered by a 1.2-litre with three-cylinder Revotron-derived unit that churns out a maximum power output of 83.8bhp at 6,000rpm and 114Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. Beside it, the oil burner will be a 1.05-litre with 3-cylinder turbocharged unit that is good for 69.04bhp at 4,000rpm and 140Nm of torque at 1,8000rpm and transmission option with 5-speed manual & AMT.

The New Tata Kite sub-compact sedan will be highly fuel efficient car. Kite 5 petrol version is expected to deliver around 20-22kmpl and the oil burner could return over 25kmpl of mileage.

Unveiled on the Manza Hybrid concept at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012, its turbocharged diesel motor is a downsized version of the 1.4-litre DiCOR unit. Tata Kite 5 engine gets a stiffer block and counter balancing shafts. 2017 Tata sedan will come with a choice of a 5-speed manual and AMT (automated manual transmission) gearbox.
