2014 BMW X5 with new generation engine
The third generation BMW X5 will be rolled in, in three engine options. The top end will be the xDrive50i with the 4.4-litre mill that is capable of producing 450bhp of power.
We already know that in the year 2014 we will see the third generation of BMW X5. Now as per the latest news about the third generation BMW X5, we will be seeing the car with three engine options. The third-generation BMW X5 will have the xDrive50i which will be powered by the 4.4-litre V8 engine that is capable of churning a power output of 450bhp. The second variant will have the 3.0-litre turbocharged mill which has 6 cylinders and can produce a power of 258bhp. This variant will be the X5 xDrive30d. Finally the third version of the 2014 BMW X5 will be the X5 M50d with a 3.0-litre six cylinder diesel engine which will feature three turbo. This BMW tri turbo engine variant of the third generation BMW X5 has the capability of churning out 381bhp.
With this 2014 version of the BMW X5, the car gets a redesign inside and outside. The front end of the vehicle will look more powerful and would scream business. The front will feature the Kidney grilles which have now become the signature of the German carmaker. The infotainment system is also upgraded to the latest version and it now gets the 10.25 inch control display with the standard iDrive system. The capabilities of the car have also been enhanced with better handling along with Comfort, Dynamic and Professional adaptive suspension system and the Adaptive M suspension system is also being made available in this new version of the BMW X5.
The car will make its first appearance for the public during the Frankfurt motor show which is due in September. While at the topic of this motor show, this year it will be the 65th International Frankfurt Motor Show. This auto show will showcase passenger cars, motorcycles, caravans along with parts and accessories as well. It is expected that along with BMW with its X5 model will also showcase the 5 series saloon and touring models whereas Mercedes- Benz will showcase the GLA45 AMG compact SUV and the four door coupe, CLA45 AMG.
The second variant will be the X5 xDrive30d with a 3.0-litre engine producing a power output of 258bhp and the BMW X5 M50d with a 3.0-litre diesel engine which will have the capacity of 381bhp. The third generation X5 will have its public display the Frankfurt Motor Show that is due in September.
