Honda India to launch new Dream series motorcycle in mid-2014
The new bike anticipated to be powered by the same engine mated with the same 109 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine mated with the existing Dream neo and Yuga.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will expand its portfolio with the launch of its new commuter bike by the mid of this year. The Honda’s new offering will be in its Dream series(which currently has two models Dream Neo and Dream Yuga).
Honda has realized that to achieve the leadership position they need more commuter products and bikes ,like new Dream motorcycle get the Japanese brand e they needed in much volume.
The new bike anticipated to be powered by the same engine mated with the same 109 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine mated with the existing Dream neo and Yuga. Even churns out the same power and torque of 8.25 Bhp at 7,500 rpm and 8.63 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Honda may lift up the overall look by featuring body graphics, tubeless tyres, alloy wheels,, better instrument console.
Honda has all set to capture the Indian market with the setup of new plant at Ahmedabad, Honda has done total investment of Rs 1100 crore for the new plant. The new plant is anticipated to have an initial production capacity of 12 lakh vehicles per year and will boost Honda’s annual capacity to 58 lakh units by 2015-16.
Honda’s new bike might be comes up with the price range in between INR 40,000-50,000 (ex-Showroom, New Delhi) depending upto its positioning within the Dream series.
