Shyam Sundar Narayan, marketing manager of two-wheelers at Bajaj Auto Ltd, Pune, said that in the last two years inflation and increase in petrol prices have slow down the growth of Two Wheeler sector in India for those years and growth remained constant for the last two year.
Mr. Narayan said. With slight improvement in market sentiment, the next year should be comparatively good. The company would launch its new two wheelers next year, which will exhibit at the Motor Show 2014 which is scheduled to be taking place at Greater Noida.
Revealing that In India almost 8.5 lakh bikes were sold per month, of which 1.30 lakh unit were of sports models, in sports segment Bajaj has 47 per cent of market share.
He said 150-200cc motorcycles were good market for the company in India’s all top 10 cities including metrocities.He further said in Tamil Nadu Bajaj has 40 Percent market share.
